John Brennan: I Hope Democrats Win One or Both Houses; ‘We Have to Fix the System’

EXCERPT:

BRENNAN: “So, I do hope that the — if the Democrats take control of one or both houses, they will not just go forward with accountability in terms of, you know, looking to sort of find people who, you know, did wrong in these positions, but maybe addressing some of the systemic changes that need to take place so there can’t be these abuses of power. And yes, it’s going to be difficult to get legislation through Congress, and Donald Trump can always veto it. But I would force the Republicans to vote no against very sensible legislation. Whether you’re talking about judicial reforms, issues with gerrymandering, you know, war-making, tariffs, whatever else. I do hope that the Democrats are going to have a positive agenda to address some of these issues structurally, as opposed to just going out after individuals and hold them accountable. We have to fix the system, so that there’s not going to be the same type of abuse in the future.”
