AG Blanche on Alaska Ballot Spoiler Scheme: ‘Everybody Who’s Looked at This Has Said that This Is Cheating and a Fraud’

BLANCHE: “Well, yes, and it’s even beyond that. According to The New York Times article, he was using fake names and a PAC associated with her campaign actually paid one of his organizations a tremendous amount of money. And so, we filed a lawsuit last week. I expect you’re going to hear more from the Department of Justice this week as we learn more information. But, Will, make no mistake about it. Everybody who’s looked at this has said that this is cheating and a fraud. The head of the Alaskan Election Commission said this past summer that what this separate Dan Sullivan had done was a fraud and that he was not a real candidate. And so, this is — we’re just learning more and more. And it’s unfortunate there’s criticism and then people are speaking out against President Trump, and it’s not right. We’re just trying to have a fair election and we’re going to do everything we can at the Department to make sure that happens.”
