Rep. Lawler: Democrats Have Yet to Put Any Plans Forward Other than What the Socialists Have Put Forward
EXCERPT:
LAWLER: “I'm a member of the Republican Party, and, obviously, the objective is to keep the majority. And we have delivered real results for my district, delivered the largest tax cut in American history, inclusive of lifting the cap on SALT. I took on the president, I took on my own party to do it. No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security. We led and passed the largest housing bill to pass Congress in 36 years to increase supply, to cut red tape, to increase access to capital and bring down prices. We are close to getting a permitting reform deal done to actually increase domestic supply of energy. People are rightly concerned about gas prices, but also utility costs. In New York State under Kathy Hochul and Democrats, utilities are up 58 percent in six years. Why? Because they shut down nuclear power, they banned natural gas extraction, they blocked pipelines. We want to make it easier to actually build these large scale energy projects and increase domestic supply. My opponent, Cait Conley, she wants to eliminate oil and gas production in America. She said it just last week. She wants to eliminate all fossil fuels. If you do that, John, what would gas prices be? Does anybody want to answer that question? This is the fundamental issue of this election. Where are we headed? And Democrats have yet to put any plans forward other than what the socialists have put forward.”
