BOLDUAN: “Big news overnight from tech leader Microsoft. The company is now offering voluntary buyouts to a huge portion of its workforce. The offer was extended — the offer is extended to 60,000 employees in Canada, India, the U.K. and the United States, which amounts to about 27% of Microsoft‘s global workforce. There‘s already been buyouts and layoffs at Microsoft over the last several months. This also comes as the company is spending big on artificial intelligence. Microsoft is set to invest more than $700 billion in AI data centers this year alone.”
