Van Hollen: The Corporate Media ‘Is Doing the Bidding of the Billionaire Class’
EXCERPT:
VAN HOLLEN: "Yeah, you know, the corporate media is essentially doing the bidding of the billionaire class. And as you say the exchanges they’ve had with Abdul El-Sayed are — is a perfect case of that because his campaign is built on three things, as he says, money in your pocket, money out of politics, and Medicare-for-all. You would never know that right from his interviews with folks in the corporate media, but that is the essence of his campaign and he overcame 30 million dollars of AIPAC money against him in the primary, millions and millions of dollars of crypto industry money against him in the primary. So this really is a battle of people power over PAC power. And thank goodness for independent media because we’re seeing a greater and greater consolidation, of course, in the corporate media, and they don’t allow in so many cases these important voices to be heard."
