Trump on Bringing the F15’s to Michigan: ‘The Democrats Were Closing Selfridge Down, But I Saved Thousands of Jobs’

TRANSCRIPT:

TRUMP: "The largest ever investment in the U.S. Armed Forces, over $1 trillion. And right here in Michigan, I got 21 new F-15EX Eagle IIs for Selfridge Air National Guard Base, and that goes with all the other planes we have there. And  the Dumocrats were closing Selfridge down, but I saved thousands of jobs and really the prestige, the great prestige that comes along with having such a place. And only I could have done that. It was requested by a few people, both Democrat, as you know, and Republican, and I did it, I saved Selfridge. It’s a big deal, too."
