LYMAN: "Yeah, look, New Yorkers need good governance and the algorithm needs another video. And Mamdani is beholden to what I call the TikTok-racy, right, this idea that you just have to drive the algorithm and that's the most important thing, even if you have to sacrifice your day job, which happens to be being mayor. And what's concerning is the Post reported he is pushing aside government meetings. Look, 90% of government and being in public office is doing that unsexy, tedious work that you can’t really turn into TikTok content because it’s not that interesting, but it’s what matters, right? It’s putting paper and pen together. And so I think a lot of people will look at end of his term and say, 'We voted for a TikTok star, but did we get anything that made New York safer, cleaner, more prosperous?' I think answer will be no."
