Ariz. Sec. Of State: ‘We Should All Trust the Good Folks in the Post Office and Mail Our Ballots in Early to Avoid Any Sort of Election Day Shenanigans’

RUSH EXCERPT:

FONTES: "Well, I don’t have any belief that any of these folks will act outside of the rules. The folks who are trained to make sure everything happens in each of our vote centers across the state of Arizona are fully apprised of this. I don’t anticipate the need for law enforcement. Arizona’s controversies usually exist outside of polling places. This is just another reason why we should all trust the good folks in the post office and mail our ballots in early to avoid any sort of Election Day shenanigans. I have been encouraging voters across the state of Arizona of all political stripes. This is my job. I’m not here as a candidate, although I am on the ballot this year. I just want to make sure that folks get the chance to vote, and that they vote in peace and without controversy.”
