Gov. Katie Hobbs: ‘Our Top Priority Right Now Is Fighting for Our Fair Share of Colorado River Water’ in Arizona

RUSH EXCERPT:

HOBBS: "Well, our top priority right now is fighting for our fair share of Colorado River water. And we were faced with a 77% cut from the federal government to our Colorado River water. We entered a deal with other lower basin states to ensure that those cuts were shared and protected us for now, and we’re top priority is is solidifying that deal. But there everything has to be on the table. We’re focused on how we can continue to protect our groundwater, and that will involve a new framework for rural groundwater protection to keep out-of-state corporations from coming in and pumping unchecked."
