Democratic Senate Candidate on CNN Praises Trump for ‘Good Job of Securing the Border’

EXCERPT:

COLOM: “Well, for me, I’m a commonsense Democrat. I’ve said that from the very beginning of my campaign. I believe in the secure border. I think the president has done a good job of securing the border. I believe in protecting Second Amendment rights. As a prosecutor, you know, I want to be able to protect my family. I want my wife to be able to protect my two beautiful daughters. And so, for me, all I’m talking about is my values that I learned from Mississippi and my vision for the state of Mississippi. That’s what I’m running on. That’s what I’m offering to people, because I’m not trying to be just another Democratic senator. I’m trying to be the best Democratic senator that Mississippi has ever had, because we’re in a moment where we need leadership that’s going to focus on the issues that matter.”
