Chris Matthews Slams GOP: ‘Where’s Your Gut, Republicans?’

MATTHEWS: “Where’s your gut, Republicans? And taking us into this war, this modern Republican Party, which is against wars and especially enduring wars, he took us into a war which nobody at the table believed in. J.D. Vance didn't — he’s the most fluid person in politics I’ve ever met who will go either way, and he wouldn’t go along with it. And certainly Marco didn’t, and the head of CIA didn’t go along. And Trump said, 'Let’s go to war, into an endless war,' which I was reading about in the New Yorker tomorrow, I guess it'll come out, it basically says there’s more coming, more bombing, more bombing of the city of Iran, just more and more killing. And I just think, where’s the Republican gut that says, 'You’re lying to me?' I saw — I watched what happened on January 6th. I saw those policemen being attacked by slug bombs and I saw — and they’re the bad guys. What happened to this notion, your basic gut? The Russians are the bad guys. This guy’s a Stasi officer back to carry on the aggression against a little country like Ukraine. And we’re taking his side? We’re telling Zelenskyy to go get another job? We’re Republicans and we’re talking like this?”
