Mamdani Supports Amazon Teamsters Calling for Passage of Delivery Protection Act

EXCERPT:

Mamdani: “And we appreciate every single labor leader that is here. We also appreciate every single worker that is here. Truly, you have made this fight one that is possible, because we know that every day delivery drivers and warehouse workers and so many others go to work for New York. On routes timed to the minute, through streets packed with buses, bikes, and pedestrians you deliver essential goods to millions of New Yorkers in every neighborhood, in every borough. All you ask in return is job stability, labor protections, and safe working conditions. That is not greed. That is the bare minimum. It is what every New Yorker deserves. Companies like Amazon have built business models around denying their workers fundamental rights.”
