GOP Rep. Gimenez: ‘In Certain Parts of the Country, Immigration Enforcement Has a Lot to Do’ with Trump Losing Hispanic Voters

‘That’s not the case here in Florida, though’

EXCERPT:

GIMENEZ: “I think in certain parts of the country, I think immigration enforcement has a lot to do with that, and something which I warned the administration about a year and a half ago. Look, 90 percent, 80, 90 percent of the people, including Hispanics, have no problem with securing the border, deporting all the criminals, deporting all gang members and people with active deportation orders. But maybe some of the things, some of the actions taken that go beyond that may have affected, you know, the popularity of the president with Hispanics. It’s not the case here in Florida, though. It’s a little bit different here in Florida.”
