John Brennan: ‘Most Republicans Just Continue to Let Me Down’
EXCERPT:
BRENNAN: “Well, I’m certainly hopeful that the upcoming election is going to shift the reins of power in the Congress in both houses, so that the gavel of these committees is going to be held in different hands. But also, I just think that, you know, Donald Trump, after this election, is going to become even increasingly more lame in terms as a president. And I am hopeful that there’s going to be something that is going to develop in the near term in the coming months. I’D like to think that maybe what Steve Witkoff said is going to shake some of these Republicans in Congress to their senses that, you know, we are just going down and down and down. What is it going to take? How far are we going to fall before the Republicans actually say, enough is enough? Donald Trump is just ruining this country and, again, ruining the world, and how long can it go on? And so, I’m hopeful. I’ve been hopeful for a while. Unfortunately, a lot of the Republicans just — most Republicans just continue to let me down.”
