JENNINGS: "No, I think privately, right now, they‘re engaged in a lot of conversation with Russia about ending this. Also, I think there‘s some prisoner recovery that‘s going on as well. I just — what I see is the president is wanting to end this, he‘s wanting to end it since he took over. It has been, I think, one of the greatest frustrations of this administration that he can‘t get them to the table to make a meaningful deal. Putin has frustrated and I think spit in the face of the president, frankly, on occasion, when he even invited him to Alaska to try to resolve this thing.”
