RIVERA: “The tear gas and the soldiers and the landmarks being defaced and destroyed, to suggest that, you know, and also, he also said, hidden in his remarks, that all of South America has gone, tilted toward the right and he wants Europe to follow. I think a lot of it, Connell, I must say, I’ve been trying to think about what’s going on. What’s happening in France is horrifying. I mean, it is — your eyes don’t lie. What’s happening, and then I don’t know who’s behind it, it’s something that is very unsettling, very upsetting. The relevance to the United States and the election, I’m not sure, other than to say that the Democrats want immigration, therefore they want tear gas and anarchy and, you know, disorder and failed government. You know, it comes in handy for the president. It also deflects attention from the fact that the war in Iran is still going on.”
