Sen. Candidate Ashley Hinson on Reproductive Health: ‘I Don’t Want It Going to Teenage Girls,’ Parents Still Need To Be in the Drivers Seat

‘Those decisions as are best kept between parents and their daughters’

EXCERPT:

HINSON: “When you look at access points in rural Iowa I just think it makes sense if something is FDA approved and it's been proven safe that you should be able to access that, and I think that's especially true around contraceptives. And so I've led on a policy that would help make it more accessible over the counter for these FDA approved drugs for women over 18. I don't want it going to teenage girls. I think parents still need to be in the driver's seat for those decisions, those are best kept between parents and their daughters.”
