HEWITT: “Mr. El-Sayed is the most radical major party nominee for Senate in my lifetime. Mayor Mamdani is the most radical mayor New York City has ever had. I don't know how you move to the center. What El Sayed must do. He's got to go get votes from the center by bringing in a socialist and saying, 'I'm going to be a centrist.' Moreover, Mamdani didn't do particularly well with black voters either in New York. And that is the weakness that El-Sayed has in downtown Detroit right now, trying to connect with African-American voters.”
