Scott Jennings: Democrats Don’t Have the Same Energy Against Corruption When It Comes to Their Own Party
TRANSCRIPT:
JENNINGS: "Well, I mean, you just be honest with the American people about, you know, what you are, what you‘ve done, and prepare to answer questions. Look, if the midterms don‘t go the way the Republicans want them to go, this is going to be looked into by congressional committees. And what you have to do is make sure you‘ve dotted every I, crossed every T, coordinated and communicated and taken all the advice of the White House counsel and followed all the rules and regulations. That‘s what you can do. Transparency and following the rules will go a long way. I would just say, though, this corruption question that‘s come up late in the campaign, I hear Democrats thundering on it, but they don‘t have the same energy for the corruption in their own party, say, in Minnesota, where that state government is so corrupt that the sitting lieutenant governor right now in a very blue state is locked in a dead heat with a Republican running for the U.S. Senate because of corruption under Democrats in the state government. So I hear Warnock and I hear the other Democrats. I just don‘t hear them with any energy for the corruption and self-dealing that's gone on in a lot of blue states."
