Iowa GOP Sen. Candidate: ‘I Don’t Like Relieving Sanctions on Russia’

EXCERPT:

HINSON: “I don’t like relieving sanctions on Russia. I’m one of the members of Congress who is banned from traveling to Russia because I think we need to be tough on Russia. I hear people, we have diesel prices that are too high and we need to get those down. And what I’ve proposed is a plan to look at the diesel tax, pausing that, looking at diesel exports, making sure we have conversations about potentially a diesel rebate program for our producers. It’s harvest season here in Iowa. Our farmers are going through a lot of diesel. We have to get those prices down. I’m just not sure we need to deal with Russia to get that done.”
