Ali Velshi: Raid in Ilhan Omar’s House Is ‘Racism’ Aimed at Her and an Entire Community

VELSHI: "Let’s call this what it is. It’s racism aimed at Congresswoman Omar and at an entire community. When a fraud scandal in Minnesota implicated dozens of Somalis, Trump stepped up his attacks on the congresswoman. She was not accused of any wrongdoing in that scandal. She simply shares the same cultural heritage as those involved. And for Trump, that seems to be more than enough. But get behind the particulars -- beyond the particulars of this case about a Somali-born Muslim woman, and the rest of it rhymes with a lot of other things we’ve seen. James Comey, New York Attorney General Letitia James, Senator Adam Schiff, the Fed Governor Lisa Cook, and now Ilhan Omar. Trump is not running the Republican midterm campaign well. NPR and PBS News and Marist found that 45% of voters see their midterm vote as a vote against Trump, versus 24% who see it as a vote for him. Trump can sense his power slipping away, so he’s running a second campaign, the one against his critics, to discredit them, to persecute them and to prosecute them."
