Congressional Dem Nominee Melat Kiros: ‘We Need to Abolish ICE’; ‘This Is a Rogue Paramilitary Force’

RUSH EXCERPT:

KIROS: "I think this is just a continuation of an agency that is terrorizing our communities, terrorizing immigrants, and and just terrorizing the American people in general, because this is a rogue paramilitary force that is was born out of a legacy of fear and hatred. And we deserve to have a better style of enforcement when it comes to immigration. I believe we need to abolish ICE. I believe we need to reimagine what the immigration system looks like. As an immigrant, myself, as the daughter of immigrants and a part of a very strong Ethiopian immigrant community in Denver, immigrants are, you know, nothing but a net positive to our economy, to our country. And we need to be leading with those kinds of values while being honest about the crisis that we are seeing with agencies like ICE.”
