Larry Sabato: U.S. Buying Russian Diesel ‘May Have a Marginal Impact’ on the Midterm Elections

SABATO: "Well, it‘s, uh, that‘s a really I hope all your questions are that easy. Michael, because, uh, basically the wallet normally wins out. And while people have principles and, and I think most Americans are favoring Ukraine, not Russia. Uh, that is not going to affect their vote. What will affect their vote is whether they are paying substantially lower prices for diesel and gasoline and food as well. And, you know, I kind of doubt with a little more than three weeks remaining that this is going to have a tremendous impact. It may have a marginal impact. And let‘s remember some of these key Senate races are in rural areas with farmers who are very unhappy.”
