Nathan Johnson: ‘I’ll Be Going to a Legislature That Is Bipartisan Composition’ To Work Together on Texas Laws

RUSH EXCERPT:

JOHNSON: "Really quite a bit. I’ve been in the legislature for eight years. It’s four sessions have passed, 135 bills. I kill Republican bills, I excoriate them on the floor. But I also respect anybody who’s in government, and I work together with them. I expect an attorney general. I’m going to be examining what laws I need, how the law needs to be updated to make sure that I can do my job of protecting the public. And I’ll be going to a legislature that is bipartisan composition, working with them to make sure that we’re all doing our jobs, and also trying to keep them in their lane from passing unconstitutional bills.”
