HINOJOSA: "That Greg Abbott has sold us out from our public schools to data centers. Greg Abbott championed school vouchers in Texas last year and pushed it through the legislature. And we know our schools are in crisis. 150 whole school districts are operating at four days a week because they can’t afford to operate at five days a week. And rural Texas, where many Republicans live, are are mad about it. And now the data centers too. To add insult to injury, data centers have descended into rural Texas because Greg Abbott has given the richest tax breaks in the whole country to these hyperscale data centers that pay no sales tax on the electricity they consume for 20 years. So rural Texas, where lots of MAGA Republicans live, are angry at Greg Abbott for selling them out. So I am running to secure the American dream by saving Texas public schools and putting money in your pocket and stopping this data center takeover."
