Bryan Llenas on the Cornell Case Amid Messages Obtained by TMZ: She Told One of the Men That 90% of What Happened Was Not Consensual
‘Her attorney confirms the messages are authentic, arguing her changing account reflects “classic symptoms of delayed recognition” following sexual assault’
EXCERPT:
LLENAS: “TMZ says it has obtained text messages between Jane Doe and two of the seven men she now accuses of rape. In messages sent a day after the alleged assault, Doe reportedly says that she really liked being with them. She assured one of them that she did not think that they should feel any shame over what happened and that what they did was not illegal. But two weeks later, the tone of the text changed. According to TMZ, she told one of the men, let’s be clear that 90 percent of what happened that night was not consensual. Five days later, Doe went to Cornell police to report the incident.”
