Sec. Mullin on Mamdani Call After ICE Shooting: ‘The Mayor Was Being Cordial but Unrealistic’

‘The Biden Administration released him back on the streets’

EXCERPT:

MULLIN: “Well, the governor, the governor was on the phone too, back and forth. And, you know, the governor, I’ve got to be Frank here, the governor is being somewhat respectful and reasonable. Mamdani was being, or the mayor was being cordial but unrealistic. And the fact that they wanted to release this individual back on the streets is absurd. President Trump was very cordial. He was very nice. He said, listen, we — NYPD is — they’re the finest. If you guys want to take custody of him, they will be happy to have custody — to give you custody of him while the investigation is going. But keep in mind, this guy is on probation for, let me explain what he’s on probation for. Four robbery charges, two charges of felony assault, felony larceny, assault weapons, assault weapons possession, misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen property, and two felony charges of dangerous drugs, all in three years. And that’s all, that’s how long he’s been in the country. And the president’s like, he’s got probation violations.”
