Trump: ‘Our Country Was Built on Merit’

EXCERPT:

TRUMP: “Merit, everything’s based in merit. If you have great marks, now you get into the best colleges, you’re not going to not get in and somebody else with a C average gets in for other reasons. I never thought we’D see that. Same thing with the military. We can hire people that are very tough people. We can hire people that know how to fight, that are strong, physically strong people. And we have a whole different ball game now. So you see those people said, boy, the soldiers are also so good. They look like soldiers, but that’s what merit is. You know, that’s what other people are good at other things. And but we have we want a decision. And remember, our country was built on merit.”
