Jon Ossoff: If We Were in the Early 1960s, Mike Collins Would Be Among Those Blocking Schoolhouse Doors to Prevent Integration

‘He’s personally amplified neo-Nazi propaganda’

EXCERPT:

OSSOFF: “I do really believe that. We’ve seen who this man is. And it’s not just the people in his office. It’s not just the people who surround him at his campaign and at his home. It’s the man himself. He’s personally amplified neo-Nazi propaganda. A sitting congressman in 2026, he’s called for immigrants to be executed by throwing them out of helicopters. He egged on a group of young men who, on the campus of Ole Miss University, were mocking a young black woman with monkey sounds. And I absolutely believe that Mike Collins, were he living in the early 1960s, would have been among those standing in the schoolhouse door to prevent integration. He would have been among those assaulting the brave marchers across the Edmund Pettus Bridge.”
