Nancy Grace Rips Cornell University Police for Not Sharing Everything with the Police, DA: Were They Trying to Quash the Whole Story?

‘That’s not a good look’

EXCERPT:

GRACE: “There are a lot of problems. Let's just say a Latin phrase I learned in law school, it's hitting the fan tonight, Sean. There are problems beyond just the fact scenario. I've got a problem with the campus police, because we now know that the alleged victim gave a 6-page statement to campus police. They sent that on to the real police. Then we find out there's a lot more, a treasure trove of evidence, statements, eyewitness accounts that they had that they did not send to police, did not send to the DA. Was the Cornell campus police trying to quash the whole story, the whole thing? Because I kept thinking, well, why didn't the DA investigate this? Why didn't the DA bring charges or at least do something? Then I found out that the campus police tried to send information to the DA and they went, 'No thanks. We've already made up our minds. We're not charging.' Who was trying to stop this investigation? And tonight, I'm not saying who did what or whether it's a criminal case yet or not, because I need more than some screenshots of some texts and Snapchats. But I can tell you this, I've got one of the young men who has now gone to Dubai. The first thing I did was check. There's no extradition treaty. So if there ever are charges, he's holed away in Dubai. That's not a good look. So I'm wondering, did Cornell campus police try to quash the whole thing? There's definitely conspiracy of silence.”
