U.S. Ambassador to United Nations Mike Waltz: ‘We’re Cleaning the Place Up, We’re Reforming the Place’

‘I don’t want to see U.N. Beijing or U.N. Brussels, or what have you’

EXCERPT:

WALTZ: “Well, first, what a great speech from Secretary Rubio and hell of a backdrop, right, 2000 years in the making. And, look, what — let’s just recap for a second the points that he made. Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States is reindustrializing. It is rebuilding its military. It is proud of its heritage. It is pulling its supply chains back home, and it’s emphasizing sovereignty. And we’re taking that same message to the United Nations. Look, and I know a lot of people out there are questioning, why do we even bother? Good question. And we’re cleaning the place up. We’re reforming the place. I do think it is an organization that, if we didn’t invent it, somebody else would. I don’t want to see U.N. Beijing or U.N. Brussels, or what have you. And I think the distinction that we make over and over again, countries can have interest, countries can have sovereignty. We can cooperate on a number of things.”
