Sen. Candidate Dan Osborn: The Reason Why My Opponent Pete Ricketts Is Polling Ahead of Me Is Because He’s a Billionaire

EXCERPT:

ALEXANDER: “You’re an independent in Nebraska right now. Ricketts still has a slight advantage over you. What do you think is the reason for that? What do you still need to sort of — to triumph here?”
OSBORN: “Well, yeah, the reason is that, you know, he’s — he’s a billionaire. They — you know, like I mentioned, they spent $40 dollars in this race against me already. They’ll spend 40 million more if they feel like they have to to hang on to their seat. I don’t even know why he wants to be a U.S. senator. I think it was just a weird vanity project for him. He should be on a yacht watching an F1 race in Monaco maybe, but — and instead he wants to be in the in the U.S. Senate and take people’s health care away from them. Doesn’t make any sense to me.”
