MCKINNON: “Well, I think it’ll be devastating because, you know, I mean, every — I’ve worked in Texas for 35 years and since I left — I mean, every — every 2 years, media comes to me and friends come say, this is the year. This is the year. This is the blue wave is happening. And a lot of that’s built on the mythology that it’s a rising demographic tide of Hispanics. And now we say, well, Hispanics can vote Democratic.”
RUHLE: “No, they’re not.”
MCKINNON: “Hispanics are really conservative. But the thing that’s most important down there is how much that has swung back to Democrats since the last election, radically back Hispanics are really upset with the policies of Donald Trump. So, listen, I think it’s a real shot.”
