Troy Jackson: Susan Collins Made Sure the Iran War Happened Five Times Before She Opposed It
EXCERPT:
JACKSON: “Well, I don’t know how we become more energy independent by going to another country to get more oil. I mean, look, Senator Collins threw Maine in a hole, and she threw us a short rope with this 100-million-barrel deal. I mean, how long is that going to last? Not very long, I mean, and as far as the Iran war, which is the driver, and heating prices going up 80 percent. You know, diesel prices paying close to $7 a gallon. You know, she voted for that five times before she started voting against it. By that time, we’re already into it, and we’re in another forever war that you just heard her say, it’s not well thought out. We don’t know what we’re doing, but she made sure that it happened five times when she could have stopped it. I’m not going to write another blank check to any president, Democrat or Republican.”
