Sen. Thom Tillis Calls Stephen Miller the ‘Architect of Most of the Dumbest Proposals from the Trump White House’

TILLIS: “Absolutely. We want thousands of people apprehended. Just an irrational way about going about thing. Stephen Miller should be saying, Mr. President, you in your first 90 days saved the border. You shut it down. We have an orderly border for the first time in probably decades. Let’s codify it, let’s work with Congress to do it. Let’s soften the edges of our image by maybe working on reasonable immigration reform, which the president supports. But instead, Miller never spends any time talking about codifying policy to harden it against a future Democrat that could open the border, and he spends time alienating the Latino base and legally present people in the process, and then has all the missteps in Minnesota and across the country. We should have implemented and codified the policies that were working in the first six months, had plenty of time to do it. And instead, he doesn’t even think about it.”
