Jason Johnson: Justice Alito’s Legacy on the Supreme Court Is Going To Be ‘Terrible’ Because of the Things He Did

‘Oh, you mean the work of snatching away rights and snatching away things that you would establish as precedent for the last 50 years, because you want to serve your political masters?’

EXCERPT:

JOHNSON: “Absolutely. And I think engage voters in Michigan, in North Carolina, in Texas. This is the sort of thing they have to care about, because, hey, the Supreme Court is now a key issue. It’s something that for 10 years, sort of elite political people have been trying to make a part of campaign conversation. But after the end of Roe vs. Wade in 2022, I think everybody pays attention. But there’s two things about this, Alicia, that are really important. One, I have to say this just professionally, that was a horrible question that was asked of him, to sort of ask Alito, well, don’t you worry about all the work that you’ve done being undone? Oh, you mean the work of snatching away rights and snatching away things that you would establish as precedent for the last 50 years, because you want to serve your political masters?”
