AG Todd Blanche on Third-Country Deportations: Their Own Countries Do Not Want Them Back, We Have to Find Somewhere to Send Them

‘We give absolutely appropriate amount of notice and of due process that the law requires’

RUSH EXCERPT:
BLANCHE: "We give absolutely appropriate amount of notice and of due process that the law requires Now remember what we’re talking about here are individuals and where they’re not citizens they’re here illegally and their own countries say we do not want them back Okay, so we have to find somewhere to send them and that, again, as a nation, as a sovereign nation the United States has to be able to do that We cannot be in a position where there’s somebody here that their own country doesn’t want them back and there’s nothing we can do And look, the law, the law is clear and we believe that the Supreme Court that granted this stay so we can continue to do the important work of this administration when it comes to getting out everybody that’s here illegally and we’ll see what happens later this year But this idea that we’re violating human rights and that the president and that the United States is doing something to damage and put these people in harm’s way is just categorically false"
