L.A. Mayoral Candidate Nithya Raman on Concerns About Her DSA Affiliation: ‘My Record Is One of Independence’

RUSH EXCERPT:
RAMAN: "I invite people to look at my record, because my record is one of independence from from from from from the political system that I am in from the established. Meant, that is in city hall. I have demonstrated a capacity to stand up and fight for what’s right for angelenos, and I have done that even when the say has supported those things and I have stood up and said. I don’t believe that this is working the way that we intended it to believe I’ve taken heat from my allies, I’ve taken heat from people who don’t like me and I’m willing to take that he’D, because I am here not for my political future, but because I care about Angelenos"
