Brian Stelter: ‘All These Security Arguments Are Really a Smoke Screen’ for Trump’s Media Attacks

RUSH EXCERPT:

STELTER: "Certainly last week, the judge was skeptical of those national security arguments. There‘s reason to believe he‘ll be skeptical again next week when he holds a hearing about this next Thursday. And all these security arguments are really a smoke screen for what‘s going on. We have all heard and read and seen the president‘s own words. He‘s made clear what this is really about. But if folks haven‘t read that Time Magazine interview, it‘s really worth reading the transcript because you get inside his head a little bit. You see just how consumed the president is with the media coverage of his presidency. It‘s a little bit something out of the Truman show. It is not a healthy relationship. And that comes through very clearly in the time interview these arguments tonight, though, from the Justice Department."
