Dem Rep. Robert Garcia Slams FBI Director for Being ‘Henchman’ to Trump: Patel Has Been a ‘Disaster’

EXCERPT:

GARCIA: “No. That’s right. I think this report is very concerning, actually. I mean, one, obviously, Kash Patel will do whatever Donald Trump wants him to do. He is there not to run the agency, but to serve as a henchman to the president. And I think he has been, I think, a disaster at the FBI. There’s no reason why he should have ever been confirmed, never had the experience. And I think it’ll be interesting to see how he tries to roll out this memo and initiative. But Donald Trump tries to do this not just through his agencies. I mean, his attacks, for example, on the Smithsonian, the way he wants to rewrite how our memorials look, the way that information is presented in our museums. I mean, he is obsessed with ensuring that things are perceived in a certain way, that he is remembered a certain way and has nothing to do with history or the facts. It’s just the way Donald Trump wants it. And so, we’ve got to continue to push back and be very aggressive. He, you know, just lies. I mean, my opinion, he’s the biggest liar to ever serve as president. So, he’ll say whatever he wants to say. He doesn’t care about history or the past, but we’ve got to continue to call it out.”
