Claire McCaskill on Trump’s Midterm Stance: ‘He Loves to Blame Other People for Everything That’s Messed Up’

‘He is so much better at playing victim than he is playing leader’

EXCERPT:

McCASKILL: "As somebody who spent most of my adult life trying to figure out how I can tap into how people feel about their lives in order to be a more effective political candidate, it is really interesting to me how bad they are at this in the White House right now. It almost makes you think that he kind of said to the inner circle, 'You know, it’s okay if we lose, because then I’ve got somebody to blame for the next two years,' because, you know, he loves to blame other people for everything that’s messed up under his watch. It almost makes me think that, that he said, 'You know, go ahead, don’t worry about offending everyone, don’t worry about being so totally off key that it’s jarring because I like the idea that I’ll be blaming them and I’ll be the persecuted one again, I’ll be the one that’s a victim.'"
