Sen. Husted on Dems Blocking His Data Center Bill: ‘They Don’t Actually Care About Affordability’
EXCERPT:
HUSTED: “Well, 417 people voted for it in the House. 206 Democrats. Hakeem Jeffries, AOC, all voted for this bill because it will hold data centers accountable by making them pay for all of the electric costs, saving local ratepayers money. And the Democrats blocked it in the Senate because they don’t actually want to address the issue of affordability. They didn’t want Republicans, they didn’t want me to get a win by actually solving the problem. So, they blocked it. Literally, we could have had this on the president’s desk today, lowering electricity prices for ratepayers all across this country, and Chuck Schumer and the Democrats blocked it. They don’t actually care about the affordability. They just want to use it as a political issue.”
