Jennings: ‘The Booming Economy Is Exactly What’s Happening’

JENNINGS: "Well, it‘s not incorrect for the White House and the administration to point out that the economy is actually what Trump said it was going to be, and Bessent too, they said it was going to boom in 2026. That‘s exactly what‘s happening. We have growth. We have businesses investing in expansion. We have people finding jobs. I mean, we have, I mean, all sorts of indicators showing us that this economy is, in fact, red hot. So they should be talking about that. But that doesn‘t cover up what the day-to-day affordability questions are of the American people, and you have to address those issues as well. And, you know, you can have a debate about which party would make it better. I mean, most of the price increases that people are mad about happened under Democratic rule, and Democrats all voted against tax cuts just last summer and most Democrats have said they would repeal those tax cuts if they were handed power.”
