Xavier Becerra Cries About a Voter ID Referendum: We Don’t Want to Make It Tougher for People to Vote

TRANSCRIPT:

BECERRA: "Prop 39 is on the ballot. Prop 39 is an initiative that is backed by Donald Trump. He couldn‘t get his SAVE Act out of Congress, which tries to interfere in elections, so he‘s gone around the country and put initiatives on the ballot. In California, it‘s Prop 39. Steve Hilton is supporting the Trump-backed Prop 39. That would make it harder for Californians to vote. We have to all vote no on 39 to send a clear message to Donald Trump and Steve Hilton that we want people to vote, we don't want to make it tougher for them to vote."
