This is not a message that has ever resonated within the state of Iowa. It’s not resonating now. And after he says something like that, he’ll run away from it in many ways. But look, the people of Iowa are waking up to this. You can see what happened with Spanberger in Virginia, I mean, ran as a moderate, one of the most radical governors Virginia’s ever had. Iowans are waking up to these things and they want good governance and they want common sense leadership, and that’s not a political talking point. I mean, they don’t believe the trans books should be in elementary schools. My opponent believes that they should. This is not something, that’s an Iowa value."
