EMANUEL: “That would start to clean up the corruption that’s at the core of this administration and Republican Congress. And both parties, all three branches of government. Washington needs a power washing. But those are examples. You can’t do that from a minority position. You have to win elections and then actually get this country set. And I will say this, having been ambassador to Japan, I looked at a country 8,000 miles away, the United States, learned a tremendous amount about Japan, tremendous amount about Indo-Pacific.”
