John Thune: I Think Ken Paxton Can Win in Texas, ‘But It Is Going To Be Expensive’

THUNE: “Well, I think he can win and I think he will win. But it is going to be expensive. And we knew that going in. I mean, that wasn’t — that’s no surprise to anybody. Texas has 20 media markets or thereabouts. And I think it’s on the order of $8 million a week or thereabouts to run TV ads in the state of Texas. So, we expect it to be expensive. But we are competitive all across the country, in all the states where we have what I would characterize as competitive, contested Senate races. And I don’t think resources are going to be an issue. We’re — our team, NRSC, our candidates, allied groups are working aggressively to raise the resources that we need to get our message out.”
