STARR: "Well, you know, like everyone in New York and shanksville across the country, it was a beautiful day. Woke up, went to work, obviously not a clue about what was about to happen. And literally, I think of it as darkness literally coming over the horizon. A number of reporters like myself inside the building, we were down the hall by the command center, waiting for some sources to come out, tell us what they could about New York. And suddenly, and my friends have heard me say this so many times over the years, suddenly one lone pentagon police officer comes running down the hallway and at the top of his lungs shouting, get out! Get out! We’ve been hit! Everybody get out! And when you’re in a military environment, those words, we’ve been hit. You know, nobody needs to be told. Twice. The building started to evacuate. I went out and found myself on the side of the building where the plane had hit, staring at literally five stories of flame and soon to be a collapsed wing of the building. But after so many years, I suddenly I find myself, as you’re talking, Jen as well, looking ahead, looking to the future.”
