Van Jones: ‘They Both Put the Country First’ as Mamdani and Giuliani Shake Hands on 9/11

‘Part of the great nation is you heal and you don‘t blame people because of their faith’

RUSH EXCERPT:

JONES: "I just want to say one thing that was, was, was special today. You know, there were some people who were, you know, anti-Muslim protesters and that type of stuff. The fact that 25 years later, we have a Muslim mayor in this city of New York, whether you like his policies or not, you have a Muslim mayor that says more about the American spirit, that says more about the American character than anything that was said today in front of the Pentagon. Uh, we I think we are a great nation. We‘re going to have to work hard to stay strong and free. But part of the great nation is you heal and you don‘t blame people because of their faith, the faith of some bad guys. Then you want to attack everybody else. That‘s the most UN-American thing that happened today. The most American thing is that a young Muslim mayor shook hands with Giuliani."
