John Kirby Slams Hegseth for Being ‘Concerned About Culture Wars’ While Insulting Allies

KIRBY: “I mean, Mr. Hegseth is more concerned about culture wars and stamping out what he considers to be woke ideology than he is about really making sure we're meeting our national security commitments around the world and our commitments to our allies and partners. And let's not forget, it was our allies and partners who helped come to our defense on 9/11 and 9/12 and 13 and days after that. The only time that NATO's ever invoked Article 5 was in our defense here in the United States. And yet now we're letting these allies and these partnerships languish and lapse and insulting them and discounting them when we are going to need international support and our allies and friends going forward for the multitude of national security threats, which we continue to face.”
